Why I built this

I've written these essays three times, for college, for MBB consulting, and for deferred MBA programs. I learned (the hard way) that the most important lesson is to sound like yourself. The issue is, how exactly do we do that?

I was selected as a coach for Leland and Crimson Education's competitive admissions networks, gaining firsthand insight into top coaching methodologies. Now, I'm building an independent coaching tool, Unscripted Narrative.

Through Unscripted Narrative, we learn your voice, find the people in your own network who can open doors, and figure out together how to reach out as yourself.

I polished this most recently through my deferred MBA applications, which was especially hard since it meant applying with less track record against more competition. By writing like myself, I was admitted to MIT Sloan, Wharton, and Columbia Business School.

What actually got me those offers wasn't portals or cold applications - it was people. Referrals and warm intros carried every application I've made, and that's exactly the part most career tools ignore.

To be clear: this isn't a bot that spams messages for you, that defeats the entire point, and people can tell. Unscripted Narrative learns how you actually write, shows you the paths already in your network, and drafts outreach you'd stand behind as genuinely you. You send every message yourself.

How it works

  1. 1

    Show me how you write

Paste a few messages you've actually sent. That's how we learn your voice.

  2. 2

    Find your warm paths

Upload your LinkedIn connections export - we surface the people who can open doors at your target companies.

  3. 3

    Reach out as yourself

Outreach drafted under measured voice constraints - contractions, rhythm, first person. You send it.

Work with me directly

Unscripted Narrative handles the outreach. For everything else - career strategy, MBB casing and interviews, or application essays - that's me, live.
